Terms of Service

Part A — All kafein.id services

1. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old, and if you’re under 18 you need a parent or guardian’s permission.
• One kafein.id account signs you in to every Service. You can sign up with email and password or with Google.
• Give accurate sign-up information and keep your login secure. You’re responsible for activity under your account; tell us at team@kafein.id if you think it’s been compromised.

2. Acceptable use

Don’t use the Services to:

• break any law, or sell or promote illegal, counterfeit, or stolen goods;
• infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights;
• impersonate a person or brand, or mislead people about who you are;
• link to phishing, malware, scams, or deceptive redirects;
• post sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that promotes violence, terrorism, or hatred against protected groups;
• harass, threaten, or spam people;
• probe, overload, scrape, or interfere with the Services, or get around their security or access controls.

We may remove content, unpublish a page, or suspend an account that breaks these rules, usually with notice unless the issue is serious or urgent.

3. Our property

The Services themselves — their software, design, themes, product imagery, and the kafein.id name and logo — belong to kafein.id. These terms don’t grant you any rights to them beyond using the Services as intended.

4. Reporting problems

To report content that breaks these terms or infringes your rights, email team@kafein.id with the URL and what’s wrong. We review every report.

5. Ending your use

You can stop using the Services any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing team@kafein.id. Deleting your account removes your data across all Services, as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or if required by law.

6. Disclaimers

Except where Part B or the law says otherwise, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Keep your own copy of anything important.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, kafein.id isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or lost profits or data. For free Services, our total liability for any claim is limited to IDR 1,000,000; for a shop purchase, it’s limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability, or consumer rights, that can’t be limited by law.

8. Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because of your content, your sales, or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, including when a new service joins the kafein.id account. We’ll change the effective date above and, for material changes, notify account holders by email or in the Service before they take effect. Continuing to use the Services after that means you accept the new terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. We’ll try to resolve any dispute informally first; if that fails, it will be settled by the courts of Indonesia.

Part B — Service-specific terms

B1. link.kafein.id

The service

link.kafein.id lets you publish a page at link.kafein.id/<username> that gathers your links, social profiles, and shop items, run preorder forms that visitors can submit orders through, or both. It is currently free; if we ever introduce paid features, they’ll be clearly marked and you won’t be charged without agreeing first. Analytics are provided as a guide and aren’t guaranteed to be exact.

Usernames

Usernames are first come, first served, but you don’t own them. We may reclaim or change a username that impersonates someone, infringes a trademark, is misleading or offensive, or has been inactive with no published content for a long period. Some names are reserved for the Service itself.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you put on your page. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display, and resize it solely to run and improve the Service — for example, showing your page to visitors and generating image thumbnails. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in routine backups that roll off over time. You’re responsible for your content and confirm you have the rights to post it. Content on a published page is public.

Preorders and selling

Preorder forms are a tool for you to take orders from your own customers. kafein.id is not a party to any sale between a page owner and a buyer, does not process payments for those sales, and does not hold funds. If you take orders, you are the seller and are solely responsible for:

• accurate item descriptions, prices, stock, and delivery timelines;
• collecting payment, fulfilling orders, handling refunds, and resolving disputes;
• any taxes, permits, and consumer-protection obligations that apply to you;
• collecting only the personal data you need from buyers and using it only for their order, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Invoices you send through the Service show your payment image, and buyers’ replies go to your account email address. Spreadsheet exports of your orders are your responsibility to keep secure.

Circles

You can invite people by email to help run a preorder event. Everyone you add can see and manage that event’s orders, including buyers’ personal details, so invite only people you trust. You remain responsible for the event and for what your Circle does with buyers’ data, and Circle members must follow these terms and handle that data only to fulfil the event’s orders. You can remove a member at any time.

Buyers: your order is with the owner of the page, not with kafein.id. Please contact the owner about payment, delivery, or refunds. kafein.id isn’t liable for transactions between owners and buyers.

B2. kafein.id shop

The kafein.id shop at kafein.id/shop sells kafein.id’s own physical goods, and kafein.id is the seller (with Paddle as merchant of record, below). It is separate from link.kafein.id: orders placed through a link.kafein.id preorder form are with that page’s owner, as described in B1, and these shop terms don’t apply to them.

• Merchant of record: our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the merchant of record for all our orders, handles payment, tax, and invoicing, and its Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase.
• Prices are shown in US dollars. Any applicable taxes are calculated at checkout.
• Shipping: we ship to the address you choose at checkout. Please make sure it’s correct — we can’t be responsible for delays or losses caused by an incorrect address.
• Product images are representative; small variations in colour and finish are normal for printed and handmade goods.
• Problems with an order (damaged, missing, or wrong items, refunds, or cancellations): contact us at team@kafein.id with your order details and we’ll sort it out. This doesn’t affect any rights you have under consumer law.
